Hello and Welcome

As many of you know, I have dedicated the past several years to pursuing a career in healthcare through chiropractic. After countless hours of study, practical training, and personal growth, I am excited to share that I have entered the internship phase of my degree.

This marks a significant milestone, allowing me to provide care to members of the public under the supervision of experienced chiropractors at the Australian Chiropractic College Student Clinic. The internship program provides students with the opportunity to develop clinical experience, refine hands-on skills, and apply academic knowledge within a real-world healthcare setting.

As I enter this next chapter, I would greatly appreciate the support of my family and friends. If you have been curious about chiropractic care, are experiencing aches and pains, or would simply like to help me gain valuable clinical experience, I would be grateful if you considered booking an appointment with me at the clinic.

Your support means more than you know as I work toward becoming a qualified chiropractor and healthcare professional.

Thank you for being part of this journey. I look forward to helping you on your own path toward improved health, movement, and wellbeing.

Why I Chose Chiropractic

My journey into chiropractic began following a serious sporting injury while playing Australian Rules Football. The injury resulted in multiple lumbar disc extrusions that caused severe nerve pain, numbness, muscle weakness, and significant loss of function throughout my right hip, leg, and foot.

The pain was so intense that simply standing upright became almost impossible. I spent weeks confined to bed and months struggling with everyday activities, with little sign of improvement. After exhausting a range of treatment options, spinal fusion surgery from L3 to L5 was presented as the most appropriate next step. While surgery can be the right choice in certain circumstances, I was concerned about the potential loss of mobility and the risks associated with a major spinal procedure.

Determined to explore all available options, I sought several additional opinions. During that process, I met a chiropractor who would ultimately change the course of my recovery. For the first time, I felt that someone had taken the time to thoroughly explain my injury, the healing process, the available treatment options, and what I could realistically expect moving forward.

One statement from that conversation has remained with me ever since:

"Chiropractic is not an event—it is a process."

My recovery began with a structured plan of care focused on improving movement, restoring function, and supporting my body's ability to heal. As my condition improved, my care evolved to reflect my progress. Over time, my pain decreased, my strength returned, and I was able to regain the level of activity and quality of life I had previously enjoyed.

That experience not only transformed my health—it changed the direction of my life.

Having experienced firsthand the impact that patient-centred, conservative healthcare can have, I was inspired to pursue a career in chiropractic. Today, my passion is empowering people to move better, feel better, and live healthier, happier lives.

Structure

Believe it or not, your body is incredible and intelligent. But life is a series of habits, and sometimes our habits don’t support our body to be as healthy as it can be.

Governs

Chiropractic care is drug and surgery free, and involves the assessment, diagnosis and management of disorders throughout the body over a period of time.

Function

By helping your nervous system to function at its optimum level, it will lead to better overall health, and you’ll be on track to living your best life!

A Little More About Me

I am a proud father of three and bring a diverse range of life experiences to my chiropractic career.

Before studying chiropractic, I worked as a qualified carpenter, served four years in the Australian Army as an infantry soldier, and spent time working within the mining industry. These roles were physically demanding, mentally challenging, and often involved long hours in high-pressure environments.

Through these experiences, I gained a firsthand understanding of the many stresses people face throughout life and how those stresses can affect health and wellbeing.

Whether it is the physical stress of repetitive work, heavy lifting, injuries, and demanding activities; the chemical stress associated with poor sleep, nutrition, shift work, and environmental exposures; or the emotional stress of balancing work, family, finances, and life's many responsibilities, each has the potential to influence how we feel, function, and recover.

One lesson that has remained constant throughout my experiences is the important role the nervous system plays in helping us adapt to these challenges. Every day, our bodies are required to process and respond to physical, chemical, and emotional stressors. When those demands begin to outweigh our ability to adapt, we may notice changes in our movement, recovery, performance, energy levels, and overall sense of wellbeing.

This understanding continues to fuel my passion for chiropractic care and its role in supporting healthy movement, optimal function, and a healthier, more fulfilling life.

Outside the clinic, I enjoy making the most of Australia's great outdoors through surfing, bushwalking, camping, fishing, and the occasional round of golf. I value an active lifestyle and understand how frustrating it can be when pain, stiffness, or injury prevents you from doing the things you love.

As a chiropractic intern, my goal is to provide compassionate, patient-centred care while helping people better understand their health, improve their function, and build greater resilience to the demands of everyday life.

Whether you are a tradesperson, athlete, office worker, parent, retiree, or someone simply looking to move and feel better, I look forward to helping you.
